Planet made with procedural noises on a sphere in Blender. Really happy to finally be able to get something with this quality, and pretty easily too- I watched this tutorial as a starting point, then did a different method for the clouds (mine are not volumetric to save render time), haze, water, and different noises, added some red shifting around the shadow terminator, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oV48DAvwYg
I may still add polar ice caps and other atmospheric effects, but this is already a big step up for me.
