A modernized version of the original StarCraft 1 cinematic mutalisk design, now in realtime with some neat translucent/refractive wing membranes. I sculpted this model for my upcoming fan film in Blender, retopoed it in Maya, and textured in Substance Painter. <18k tris.
I also took some time lapses of the process and added a bit of commentary as behind the scenes content on youtube. Looking forward to animating its space battle debut very soon!
